The DJ Romano Fund - Charity For September October 2025

The DJ Romano Fund was created in memory of Officer DJ Romano, a beloved Town of Newburgh Police Officer who tragically passed away in a snowmobile accident. To honor his legacy, a dedicated team of law enforcement officers and community members came together to build a fund that would give back to the community DJ loved so much.

The team includes:

Jason Monti – Town of Newburgh PD

Frank Pierri - New Windsor PD

Jen Ellis – Former Town of Newburgh PD

Jimmy Romano – NYPD

Marc Corrado

Greg Rowe

The mission of the DJ Romano Fund is twofold: to support local youth sports—such as the Newburgh Free Academy Football Program and Newburgh Pee Wee Teams—and to help families in need within the community.So far, the fund has been able to make a meaningful difference by supporting:

Peyton Ingram (14), who tragically lost her mother

Halo Lopez (5), who tragically lost his father

A Town of Newburgh Dispatchercurrently battling cancer

Adrianna & Alina Romano, DJ's daughters, through a college fund

This is just the beginning. Each year, the DJ Romano Fund is committed to expanding its reach and supporting more families during their times of need—carrying forward DJ's spirit of service and compassion.
